What Are
The Best Sellers At Elementary Schools?
It's a tie: t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. In years past
it was t-shirts. But in the last couple of years the sales
of hooded sweatshirts has approached, and at some schools
surpassed, the unit sales of t-shirts.
What
Other Garments Sell Well?
Crewneck sweatshirts and fleece jackets. For the jackets
we most commonly sell the sleeveless fleece vest in mild
weather states and the full fleece jacket in other areas.
By the way, the jackets are most commonly embroidered, not
ink-imprinted.
We Want
To Add Some New Garments To Our Mix. Any Suggestions?
Yes, by all means add the girls' t-shirt. These shirts are
tastefully cut for young ladies, they love them and the
parents think they are adorable. These shirts come in
pink, white and light blue, with the pink being the most
popular. Most of our schools who include this item sell a
lot of them. See an image on or Everything
Elementary page. For more information, or to see an
actual sample, call us at 925-831-1222.
Other good
sellers for kids are plaid fleece pants and shorts.
Do
Baseball Caps Sell Well?
At the elementary schools we know of baseball and other
types of caps are not particularly good sellers.
Do Adult
Garments Sell Well? Any Recommendations?
At many schools - both elementary and later schools -
adult garments sell well. Best sellers are embroidered
polo shirts, denim shirts, knit shirts and fleece jackets.
But the one category that sells the best is women's
garments - t's, polos and knits. Both moms and female
teachers love them. You can view our entire selection of
women's garments in our
spiritwear section under "Ladies Only."
Our
Spiritwear It Not That Great-Looking. Can You Help?
Of course. We can design really good-looking spiritwear
for your school (we get lots of compliments on our
designs). And the cost? Nothing, so long as you purchase
your spiritwear from us. Call to find out how to get us
started.
How
About Other Spirit Items Like Water Bottles, etc.?
Fads come and go. Up until a year or two ago the rubber
wristbands were great sellers at all school levels. That
fad has mostly subsided, but the next one has probably
already emerged somewhere. Some schools have good success
with spirit items like water bottles, static cling decals
for car windows, license plate frames, travel mugs,
stadium cups and similar items. Unless you have reason to
believe these will sell well at your school, we suggest
you start with a small order and see how they go.
Any
Other Good Ideas For Our School?
Here are a few...
School
Events Calendar: Registration is a good time to sell
our School Events Calendar. This calendar includes all
your school events for the upcoming school year. It's a
great organizational tool, and, once they try it, many
parents would not be without it.
Graduating
Senior Shirt: For the graduating seniors consider
giving a memento t-shirt to each student. This shirt can
have a list of all kids names on the backside and a full
color photo of the grads on the front.
Need
Money Fast? Consider the Discount Card: Allows you to
make a lot of money for a fairly small investment.
Credit-card size discount cards are sold to parents who in
turn show it to the local establishments listed on the
card and receive discounts. It's a 3-Way Win: Your school
makes money. Your parents save money. And the vendor gains
additional business. Call for complete details.
Don't
Forget To Reward Them: Young children love
recognition. What you give as the symbol of recognition
does not have to be fancy. A colorful recognition pencil,
a car decal, a pair of "cool" youth size
sunglasses - these types of things, along with sincere
praise from adults, makes kids feel great about their
accomplishments.
I'll be
happy to help with specific ideas for your school.
